Third Thursdays at the Cartoon Art Museum presents, Happy Birthday Edward Gorey! Who can’t resist tea, cookies and art? Loved the festivities but ended up taking pics of Grains of Sand: 25 Years of the Sandman rather than Gorey. Love both art equally though!

LA Zinefest 2014 was a blast! Many thanks to Steven Lawrence  for our wonderful Creatures zine collaboration! Carol Purrnet & Friends made her debut as well. Please check out and support my fellow fartsy friends. Love y’all!

I have seen and participated in more twerking in the past 24 hours than I am proud of admit. #secretshame
Here’s a drawing I made for our upcoming #SECRETSHAME zine with Leo Puppytime and Jason Chaumers.

Here’s a drawing of TIYANAK, a vampiric baby creature in Filipino mythology. I made this for our upcoming CREATURES zine with Steven Lawrence. It’s sneak peak Friday!

My first drawing for a collaboration with Steven Lawrence. http://theartofstevenlawrence.com/
We’ve decided to illustrate folktales. This drawing is my interpretation of the giant cyclops Bungisngis from Philippine folklore. Bungisngis is known to live in Bataan and is often giggling. Here is a scene from “The Three Friends - The Monkey, The Dog and The Carabao.”
I’m experimenting with shading here. I may use a different font.

SF Zine Fest was so much fun this year. We had a full table, ate gyros, gave away lots of dinosaurs, caught up with old friends, and met some really rad new friends.
Can you spot Jason Martin from Driftwood City? Jason also made a cameo in this post :)

I see Jason & my koala bear!
